This short exercise will introduce you to the World According to Power BI… you have been provided with a dataset of 100,000 rows of data, with details of social media usage in daily screentime hours. It has a breakdown of age groups and also their interests.
We want to find out the most popular social media platform by age group, and what these age groups are interested in.

The embedded Power BI below is what we’ll be creating together.
It works best viewed in full screen mode, which you can activate using the toggle in the bottom right hand corner.
There are 4 dashboards which can be accessed using the Page Navigator
You will learn the basics of Power BI and create various charts such as
- Pie Charts
- Stacked Column Charts
- Bar Charts
- Cards
- Map Visuals
You will learn how to make these dashboards interactive for your viewers using Slicers and how to add-in custom visuals.
We will also cover format options and how to apply custom formats.
