Power BI for managers

This is a new version of out Introduction to Power BI, this time contextualised to college managers.

The starter files required are data masked copies of the real Moodle reports which we use to track student progress. (data masked being the names / emails of our students overwritten ‘to protect the guilty’ 🙂

The embedded Power BI below is a copy of our ‘real’ student progress tracker… but will all the student names ‘data-masked’ ie overwritten…to ‘protect the guilty’… 🙂

There are a total of 16 datasets included.

There are 5 classes, and each class has 2 Moodle reports:

1) Student Tasks Complete – arranged in Theory Tasks first and then Practical

2) Moodle Progress and Completion Trackers. This report identifies when the student was last on Moodle, and at what stage they are at with their completion trackers

In addition, we have a separate table for each class identifying which of their IV record paperwork has been completed, and finally an IV Summary Table with all the IV Record due dates.

We wanted to identify:

Students who were falling behind for any reason:

We now have a alert to show if anyone hasn’t accessed Moodle for a given number of days

Running Total PIs for each class – calculated by dividing the number of tasks completed per student by number of tasks due
